The art of earning..

"I DON'T CARE how much I am earning as long as I am happy."
So take some time out and really think over what you like doing in life...It might include reading, writing, acting, listening to music, photography, dancing, sports etc.
But the bitter truth in life is that all of these methods are unconventional and unless you are exceptional in your field you cannot make a mark in the real world.

Consider that you are a 45 year old theatre artist. You work with one professional group and you make Rs. 5000 per show. Now even if you give four performances in a month you just end up getting Rs 20000. When you are 45 years old and you have kids, Rs. 20000 is not going to sustain your whole family.

You might be a professional tennis player. You do not get funding from your country and you break your ankle and sit at home for a year. Unless you are in the top 20 worldwide ranks, you will get bankrupt in that year!

Maybe, you are a musician. Your rock band finally decide that you are not very assertive about your music and you do not put in essence to your music. They sack you...What do you do then?

It might be possible that money is not an issue for you. You might do many things. But, at the end of the day you need to ask yourself that is doing many things half-heartedly better or is doing one thing with full dedication.

Coming to the more conventional methods....Do you like to sell stuff or write business statements for companies? Do you like sitting nine hours in front of a computer and read stuff that has no relevance with your personal upbringing? Do you like to sit with a telephone and talk to complete strangers at the cost of your personal dignity?...etc.
All these are not exactly childhood dreams. Although in todays date the majority of the population seems indulged in similar professions. But some stuff such as stocks and corporate relations may be of interest and are in their own way monetarily yielding.

So we are back to square one!
"I DON'T CARE how much i am earning as long as i am happy."

BULLSHIT!

Nobody dreams to lead a mediocre life while growing up. Everybody wants a luxury car, a huge bank balance, a hot wife/husband, a private apartment, etc.

The only thing that is in your hands is what area you focus yourselves on.

If you want to become a television actor then you need to direct yourself completely in that region and the subsidiaries. Aim for the best institute and try to work with the best people. Sleep your way to the top if you have to! But when you are aiming for something give it your absolute best shot!

If you want to write then focus yourself on how to become a professional journalist. Anything unrelated that you do is insignificant and is not gonna help you in the long run. Extra- curricular activities seem good for getting into a college but if unrelated with your basic area of professional expertise is not gonna help you earn more money.
For example if you like music and you are pursuing B. COM. hons. then you are gonna be in a serious dilemma when you end up looking for a job.

In all these cases there is a greater chance that you end up 'mediocre'!

  4. i dont think if a person has varied intrests, like if that person wants to pursue both b.com hons and music,i dont think there is any harm in doing that.i dont think having varied intrests makes u a mediocre in something that you like,i understand its difficult to handle both but not impossible to do so...
